#189 Floral Profusion

Jackie is hosting our challenge today, and the theme is Floral Profusion. We would love to see your creations covered in flowers, lots of flowers. Please do not enter with just one flower as that is hardly a profusion of flowers!

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it has lots of flowers on it.

Please remember our 15 total challenge rule!

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Jackie

My card was a get well card for a colleague in hospital. Real flowers weren't allowed so we sent paper flowers instead! I used a combination of bought and hand made paper flowers for my pop up box card, along with some die cut butterflies.

Josephine

A card for a colleague who's having a special birthday, loves blue and is and leaving within a few days. I've used dies from Sue Wilson, Crafter's Companion, Spellbinders and Sizzix along with a computer-generated sentiment and a little glitter glue.

Mary

I used Tattered Lace's Sweet Serenity Blissful Blooms CD ROM and matching dies together with a Tattered Lace embossing folder.

Glenda

I used a clear stamp 'Shadow Flowers' by Local Rubber King for the main image, and punched out the four small flowers with paper punches and used a Memory Box die called 'Fabulous Phlox'. for larger corner flower.

Judy

I made this easel card for a friend that has been feeling under the weather. I hope that it cheers her up. The image I used is from Bugaboo Digital stamps. I coloured the image with copics, gell pen and glitter. To complete my card I added a die cut dragon and a sentiment.

Angela

A slightly grungy birthday card today which has a Masterboard background. The stamps are by Paper Artsy using Tim Holtz Oxide inks. Finished with Treasure Gold and coloured gems. Happy crafting, Angela x

Marlene

I have used a pre-coloured Lili of the Valley precoloured image from one of their art pads which are now discontinued, add lots of different flowers and a Butterfly Die

Margaret

I love adding flowers to my feminine cards so I really enjoyed the theme on this Challenge. Papers used are from Maja and I have added a piece of lace at the side and also did a little stenciling with translucent texture paste. Added some gauze under the flower cluster and included a few berries, gem sprays and die cut leaves as well as some randomly scattered prills.

Jac

Cut this cute little gift bag on the Cricut using the 'To You From Me' cartridge, used a sentiment stamp from Papertrey Ink and then added lots of Prima flowers and then some pearls.

Sally

I have used two stamp sets from Hobby Art and watercolours to make my card.

Pam

I used Art Impressions watercolor stamps for this challenge. Still learning with these stamps, but they are a lot of fun. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Agnieszka chanya13

Card for First Communion. It is for a boy so I used blue papers and flowers.

Peggy

I used a free svg by Diana Tunnicliff for this card base. I cut it in Cricut Design Space and added some Anna Griffin flowers, sentiment, ribbon and pearls.

June

The largest flower shown is made using 'foamarin' the other flowers from card stock. I didn't use any dies to cut the flowers, they were all hand cut, shaped and dusted using several distress ink pads by Ranger. I also used gold mirri as the card was for a couple celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. I added white satin ribbon, strands of pearls and pearl hearts. I typed the sentiment and die cut it using one of the stitched flags die set by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions

#188 Add A Sentiment

Pam is hosting our challenge today, and the theme is Add A Sentiment. It would be nice if your sentiment is not a tiny peel off tucked in one corner, but more the focal point of your creation, but we won't insist on that.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it as a sentiment, the more prominent the better.

Please remember our 15 total challenge rule, and to link directly to THIS POST and not just the front page of our blog please!!

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Pam

I used an embossing folder and distress inks to create the background for my card. I topped it with vellum and heat embossed the sentiment. I love quotes and sentiments, have collected both for years. I am looking forward to seeing your designs!

Glenda

Image is from Just Inklined and is called 'The Good Life. The background is Stampin Up's 'Hardwood and is heat embossed, The sentiment is an old Doodle Pantry digital stamp.

Judy

I used a large floating butterfly die for my card which I cut out in white. My background was made in a fun technique called Shattered Glass. To complete the card I used a Happy Birthday sentiment die and painted the butterflies with A wink of Stella.

Josephine

I've used a die and embossing folder from Crafter's Companion with other dies from Spellbinders and finished with a computer-generated sentiment for this card for a friend.

Mary

I used various dies from Tattered Lace to make this card for a friend's mother.

Marlene

I have used an Elizabeth Bell Image she is so cute added some flowers and a double ribbon bow

Jac

I was recently gifted a lot of crafting stash from a very good friend who is downsizing. This stash has included lots of SU inks, Papertrey Ink stamps, Prima flowers and LOTS of papers and cs so I have put some of the above to good use and made a wall hanging. I used the masking technique to have the teapot stand behind the cup (not something I do very often but I like the effect!)

Angela

Mostly Seth Apter stamps for this card and the Tim Holtz Life Moments tag. The background is one of my masterboards layered with stamped Velum and tags. You may have to twist your head slightly to read the main sentiment as it's on the centre tag. Happy crafting, Angela x

Margaret

Hello everyone! My card was created with papers from Maja Design and some pretty flowers and lace from Megs Garden. The leaf die is by Cheery Lyn and I have added a piece of gauze and a twine bow to the cluster. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of cardstock and heat embossed.

Peggy

My card is a Double Z fold card. The tutorial for it can be found At Beccy's Place. The background paper is from the new Anna Griffin Eleanor paper pad. I cut all elements except the flower with my Cricut Explore. The Happy Birthday sentiment was created in Design Space and the inside sentiment is a Close To My Heart stamp.

Maike

When I planned the card for this challenge I remembered that I have a special love for "punny" sentiments. I often need "Thank You" cards, so I thought "Thank Mew" would work perfectly. The images are all from the current Gerda Steiner Digi Bundle and the frames I used are MFT Blueprint dies.

Jackie

This time I have done a decorated mdf heart instead of a card - it was made for a friend at work who was leaving. The background paper was from my stash, and the paper flowers were made using scraps. The sentiment is (I think) a crafters companion stamp...

Kimx

My card has been created using a stamp from Hobby Art and some die cut leaves.

June

'Harebells' Stencil by Clarity and Ranger Tattered Rose Distress Ink, the background is Ranger Mustard Seed Distress Ink and I added 'splats' to lift some of the colour. The filigree print sentiment is Indigoblu stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa

#187 Pearls And/Or Gems

Josephine is hosting our challenge today, and the theme is Pearls and/or Gems. We would like to see lots and lots of pearly pearls or blingy gems, or both.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it has some luscious pearls or sparkling gems.

Please remember our 15 total challenge rule!

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Josephine

For this challenge, I've used a new die from Hobbycraft which was branded Intricut. It's really pretty, and cut somewhat more easily than other large lacy dies I've bought in the past. I've backed it with a contrasting mat, and then added pearl gems to various parts of the cut. I completed the card with some ribbon and a stamped sentiment which I embossed in white.

Angela

Hi Angela here to show you what I've been up to for the new challenge. A new Masterboard using Oxide inks, stencils with gel medium, Memory box dies for the main image had tiny matching gems added to the flowers and brads. The black card blank was also stamped using the Oxide inks.

Judy

Judy here. This is my card for this week challenge. I used a pretty fairy rubber stamp from a Canadian company called Enchanted Hallow Rubber stamps. The stamp is called Crystal. I used copics for the colouring then added a Wink of Stella along with the pearls to give the card some glitter.

Glenda

Wow pearls and bling, how fabulous is that! I used a little bit of pearls, rhinestones and Chrystal Drops stickers for this fairly simple card. I embossed the white background, coloured the image with Prismacolor Markers and added some ribbon for two of the corners. The meow is from the same clear stamps set as the image.

Mary

I have used a House Mouse stamp called cupcake jump and added coloured pearls which match the sprinkles on the cake around the edge of the image.

Pam

I chose to use pearls for this challenge. The lattice and butterfly dies are Cheery Lynn Designs. A My Favorite Things Die was used under the butterfly. I embossed it for a little more interest. The flowers were made with a punch. The pretty sentiment is from Tina Wenke with Stampavie.

chanya13 Agnieszka

Hello, today I prepared a card with pearls for the First Holy Communion.

Jackie

My card was an art deco stepper card with lots of bling... and highlighted with pearls.

Maike

I wanted to create a wedding card with a vintage yet modern feel to it. I used stamps from a German company called Klartext and also this lovely wedding cake from Lawn Fawn. Pearly are not my strong suit, but I feel that the pearl hearts at the bottom add an extra special touch to the card.

Marlene

I have used an LOTV Stamp, added Lots of Pearls, coloured the image with Promarkers and a LOTV Sentiment

I used a Carabelle stamp, some paper from Clarity and an old coca cola can with alcohol inks, and lots of tiny gems. See my blog for details

June

I've used a Woodware stamp for the main focal point, the sentiment is one from Altenew and a die from the Indian Ocean Collection - Tag Duo/Creative Expressions. I added pearls to the flower stems and a border of duo pearls to complete

Margaret

Hello everyone. For this challenge I have created a Birthday card using Megs Garden digital papers and two lovely blooms with gem centers. I have accented the chippie with some pretty pearls and have also added a sprinkle of German Glass Glitter.
